Ride the walls. Win the Grand Prix.

Cave Racer is a free racing game for your browser, on phone and desktop. You race seven rivals down glowing neon tunnels at 400 km/h, riding the inside of the tube: walls, ceiling, all the way round. Speed is automatic, so the whole game is your line.

Four tracks, one Grand Prix

Neon Rift, Magma Run, Glacier Pipe and Overdrive, three laps each, with points for every place. Win a Rookie Grand Prix to unlock Pro, and a Pro one to unlock Elite, where the rivals are quick and don't make mistakes.

Racing, not surviving

Gold shards raise your top speed, up to ten of them. Barriers smash, but they slow you and knock shards loose. Boost strips and crystals fire you forward, a slipstream behind a rival lets you slingshot past, and pressing as GO lights gives you a rocket start.

Keyboard

Left and right (or A and D) roll you round the tunnel. Esc pauses, M mutes, C changes the camera.

Touch

Hold the left or right half of the screen.

The classic game

Cave Racer started as a side-on cave flyer: blast off, dive into a cavern built from blocks and race three pilots to the far side. It's still here: play the classic game.
